I can NOT believe
that this semester is over. I have learned
so much from my classes, especially this
one. The last two days, I have been taking care of my five cousins while their mom was out
of town. It was interesting to play the role of a "mom." The whole time, all I
could think was wow a MOM'S job is HARD! I could not believe how much work goes into it. By the
time I got all the kids in bed, and I laid down I was exhausted. I
just kept thinking I wonder how I will balance a career and kids. I know that
there are many women who do, and so I am not shy of reaching for what I want. I am glad that I had this
experience so that I can better prepare
myself for both. This semester while
reading our textbook, I found that a feminist can be both stay at home moms or go out and work. That has
been a huge realization to me. This class has made me into a feminist, a 3rd wave!
(One
that will be very tired)
